Christmas at the Lighthouse

6 January 2008

Christmas Sunday at Lighthouse BP Church was celebrated at Crystal Springs. We had about 44 in attendance which would just be too many people to fit in our house.

Christine Tan sharing her testimonyChristine Tan shared her testimony of salvation as well as dealing with 2 difficult pregnancies. Most startling was her sharing of her battle with cancer. We wept together with her as shared about her latest struggle with cancer. Listen to recording here.

Instead of proceeding with the pastoral prayer as planned, I decided to call up the leaders in the worship service to lay hands on Christine. By Faith we prayed that the Lord would restore her and that we would see her again in Chiangmai next Christmas. Stay tuned.

Oa’s Birthday celebration.

We also took the opportunity to celebrate Oa’s birthday and after lunch, we had a sharing from Brother Michel about the work in Burma. The team from Singapore had brought a large amount of clothes and blankets and they desired to know more about the work in Burma. We were very happy to hear how the Lord had blessed the work in Burma despite all the hardships that were being faced by the brethren in Karen State.

It was very necessary to hear from Christine and how the Lord had been working in her life and that of her family’s.  We postponed the message to the end.  Bro Nathaniel preached on “Letting your light so shine this Christmas and beyond.  Mt 5:16”

If you have more pictures from that morning, please post them here too.

Puppet Team’s send visit to the radio stationWe were very privileged and happy to have in the studio Mr Tan Siong Teck and son Darrell from Galilee BP Church, Singapore.  Brother Siong Teck himself comes from a large family of 8 siblings + parents.  The whole family came to know the Lord Jesus Christ through a family crisis.  Here is the link to that recording.  [For easy listening, make sure you have quicktime installed]
